SS6.0 /6.1 works with vista so that shouldn't be a problem.
Check you have installed both parts of SS6.0 and then installed 6.1.
Then post the last few lines of your system log file using the tags if the problem persists.
Have you installed in the default directory? (IIRC some people have had problems with vista due to it using a different directory?????)
