Direct2Drive Kingdoms download not working.

I have Medieval 2 total war from Direct2drive, I downloaded Medieval 2 total war: Kingdoms from Direct2drive.

When I try installing it, it says something like "The version of Medieval 2 total war you have is not supported by this installers patcher"

I went into the game and saw that the version of Medieval 2 total war that I have is like 1.03 or something, so I went to download many patches, none of which would install. (1.1 1.2 1.3)

Other info: I downloaded a mod called Stainless steal 4.1 and some "UltimateAI" or something mod, both worked. Also the game (Medieval 2 total war) installed to a path called something like "Active applications/SEGA/Medieval2totalwar" I brought the folder to (Program files/SEGA/Medieval2totalwar" the kingdoms installer didn't work with either. I also used the unpacker program from the tools folder.

Could someone please help me? I don't get it, what am I to do?

The patches you mentioned are for MTW2 total war not kingdoms. Kingdoms includes those patches. The current version of Kingdoms is 1.04 If you have that your are fully patched, if you don't and you really have 1.03 contact direct2drive for a digital download patch or search for one.
