Calua: Cheat Code for Human players

Calua has to be toned down a bit. Those Ivory resources give too much money, and merchants stationed there are immune from competition. Right now I am the Malikate of Sidth and I own the whole Indian ocean. There is no reason that the tip of ethiopia should be one of my most lucrative provences. WHen you add in the returns from the Merchants working the Ivory, this little pathetic strip of land is bringing in over $4000/turn, more wealth than any other Provence other than Ahnilvara ($4700), and Baghdad ($4500). Each merchant is pullint in 1600ish. kinda silly.

Ayybuids value silk as much as Ivory.

And really, Baghdad can give 18-20,000 a turn once it gets big. Early-game Calula may be overpowered, but late-game it can be quickly surpassed.

I'm sure ivory was historically traded out of present-day Somalia, so it has its place there.

Thanx for telling me that about Calua, as Makuria I have to get a merchant or 2 there quick.

sorry to dissapoint christof, but since Makuria have ivory in their capitol province (i think they do at least), the ivory trade in Calula will be considerably less lucrative than for most factions.

Makuria should go for silk. Damascus is closes best source of it.
Cotton, dyes, wine, sugar is next. Herat had 2 wines.
