Is it possible to import the wedge formation from cavalry to the infantry?

That would have been cool, like the old Nordic formation called Fylke, where
the most skilled man where at the top/first line, in the second line where
number 2 and 3 in fighting skills, 3 line=3 men and so on....

Speaking of Wedge... How does one actually use it in game? When I use the Formation my Cavalry charges and than when the front meets the infantry they stop and try and fight them with the weak tip.

If I recall a Wedge is supposed to divide the infantry line into two sides.

Yeah it does, but it depends on where you aim it. If you aim it at a big dense pack of infantry, then of course you're going to get stuck. But if you find a unit of two that are somewhat stretched, then charge them, they should break

Should I be using attack on them or should I be clicking directly behind the unit I want to Wedge through?

I don't think it matters, but I tend to charge them through, turn then around, and then charge further down the line, and keep working my way down, slowly hacking up their ranks so the die, and go into disarray

Yes, don't leave the cavalry engaged with infantry. Move them away and then charge them in again.

I try and have two cavalry units to attack. I send the first unit in for a charge and then move them away. When the first unit is not in the way the second unit is sent in for a charge. Do this a couple of times and units will break - keep looking at the morale state of the units you are fighting so see when they are shaken.
