Sparkling troops

As Carthage I was fighting my first big battle in Spain against some rebels and noticed that the new Ambushers they field dissapear as I zoom out and turn into sparkling stars ... I recall similiar problems w/ other units in the past. Anybody else seeing this? Any ideas how to fix it?

This has happened to me as well, They look like weird sparkling worms.
The Sprites for the Ambushers are missing as are several other Sprites, there is a fix for it in the 1.1 Bug Fixes page.
Follow the instructions carefully, they have to be individually added to the Faction folders.
