    Default 'Feature Transfer Error'

I originally tried something out in order to get SS 6.1 to work during battles, and under the advise of someone on here I did this.

    A. Completely uninstall MTW2 & Kingdoms

    B. Remove the Prefetch files for each program (Located in the Prefetch folder under C:\Windows\Prefetch) Each file should be associated with an .exe

    C. Remove the programs from your registry (If you know how to do that)

To get to your registry: Start then Run and in the "Run" box type: regedit, which will bring up your registry. Look under Hkey_local_machine and find Software and CO7fty, under Software find the SEGA folder and delete MTW2 &/or Kingdoms if found there, under CO7fty find medieval2 and delete medieval2

    D. Reinstall MTW2 with patches 1.1 & 1.3 and then install Kingdoms, which should patch you to Version 1.5 automatically

    E. When you install Stainless Steel YOU MUST install in into the C:\Program Files\Sega default folder, if you don't it won't work!!! Remember that!
I did as he said, and then I installed Medieval 2 and patched to 1.3. After that, I attempted to install Kingdoms. It installed Americas, and then got an error in Britainia. I uninstalled Medieval 2 and tried again, and got this error.

    Feature transfer error
    Component; packs
    File; D:/main/packs/data_0.pack
Error; Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
I have no idea how to fix this, and now i'm annoyed that I can't even play vanilla anymore.

Crc's are data transfer problems. They can be caused by dirty discs, scratched discs, fagmented harddrives, slow dvd drives, drivers that need updating, a who;e host of things. If you are running Vista, run cyclic redundancy check through Google and you will get this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...dundancy+check. Mat this solve yout most pressing problem.

Besides some battles are bugged even in vanilla.
