    Default huh?

    so I tried to install C:TW, but when I went to do so, it said I needed a password.

    Did I do something totally wrong, or is there some password I'm unaware of?

    Of course i'm kidding ... at least funny, and the first time ever, that such an "error" happens with a Chiv installation. Are you sure you are speaking of ChivTW 0.96, and you need no admin rights within your windows?
