Good. All I can say so far.

After another year as a senator my time as praetor is coming to an end.
I have served the Republic well and that is why I have, for the upcoming
elections, chosen to not participate, I am now more than satisfied about my
career as a senator.
I find no purpose in being responsible for a province which is what a
man of my power could ask for, instead I intend to take it easy during
the coming term, taking care of my home, a place that I have been rarely
been able to visit in recent years.
It was with much sadness in my heart that I took the decision and with
clogged throat that I finally gave the notice to the people.
I saw angry faces as well as uplifting ones, I can not blame them for that as
I am a one of very front figures of the Optimates party, a patrician and an
enemy of the Populares.
I may once have been tribune of the plebs, elected and loved by their weak
hearts, they are however good people but not suited for as important matters
as those of the Senate.
I can not write more as my own heart will then shatter in pieces, I wish you
the very best, your ancestor: Marcus Aelius Triarius, Senator of the Republic
of Rome and it's People.
