Stupid question: Does Kingdoms require a serial key?

I was thinking of installing Medieval 2 total war with kingdoms, but my kingdoms manual and case is about 200 miles from here, I got the disc, manual and case for MTW2 and the disc for Kingdoms so my question is: Does Kingdoms require a serial key? I know MTW2 does but that is no problem, got it right here.

But I won't bother installing it just to discover that Kingdoms require a serial key that I don't have access to for a few weeks since it is the Kingdoms campaigns I want to play.

It requires one to play online play, but not for campaign.
