    Default m2two gold cd issue

i have the gold package. cd2, 99% of the time it won't load anything, it thinks it's pirated. very strange. i have the game installed and i only need cd1 to play, thankfully, however i would hate that if i ever had to uninstall and reinstall at a later date that i would have to go through a bunch of junk to get cd2 to think it's legit.

very strange. i just kept retrying when i first installed (since you need both cds, obviously) and eventually it was read no problem. but lately when i try and see if it will autoplay or let me manually open, just to see if i still get the problem, i do...

is my cd just busted somehow or is there something i can do?

p.s. everything is 100% legit and this happened first use right out of the box.

Sad story Tenebris. You and me are not the only ones suffering from SEGAs tyrannical crap of their DVD not playing properly. My internal DVD drive reads every game disc even the original M2TW. I then bought Gold and it never read it at all. It appears that SEGA used a crap software call secuROM wich could be causing it.

As for playing it, I just use a external barely used DVD drive. Even then secuROM blocks it sometimes too.

Sega seems to have released a lot of bad discs and not all M2TW gold. Securom is not a good thing but in this case is not the bad ogre. Have you ever bought a box of blank cds and find a bad one in it? I mean copy something to it and the same drive can't read it later? I have. Sega may have the same problem with its supplier. Contact Sega and if it is their fault they will replace it. Human error is part of life.
