    is it possible to add the phalanx attribute to any unit with spears in this game? I've tried to do so with some Makedonian units(the spearman unit obiously), but no dice-they keep not having it, even if I write it (don't worry-its a temporary measure meant to simulate some very well known parts of Maedonian history, albeit 200 years early).:hmmm:

    for I am now captain general of greece!!

    namely: how did you all turn it on? so I can turn it back on..

    It at least requires the phalanx formation written in the export_descr_unit file, instead of where we have written 'square'. Other than that I think it helps to have a secondary weapon (sword) in the unit - though only the egyptian Greek Hoplite Mercs have this so this is prolly the only unit where you will get good results testing.

    what of the Xipherai? (they have both, and in the right order and attributes)?
    I've done it to them, but their UI and in battle it says they can't do it (no CTD's, but no phalanx either)

    The UI won't change unless you edit the export_unit file in the text folder. You'll also need to remove short_pike from the primary attack attributes as well - At least I think so...

    not relly-I've changed a testudo making unit to a shield wall one with the need for that. but the short pike is "stuck"-I cannot change the weapon (Long_pike give no chage)
