New Spain destroyed during Apache campaign?

i have no idea how this happened im playing apaches at turn 42 raising hell for tarascans
...and i just got a message new spain was destroyed
...when it was the no.1 military power

now how did this happen

i toggle_fow'ed and i see they had 6 towns/cities including havana
i see some rebel generals with spanish names so it cant be that all their generals died
maybe they were bankrupt but im not sure about that

im pretty sure it was the dying out of the family line somehow

the only other way the spanish could be destroyed would be is havana rebelled since the native americans dont have boats

faction leader dead along with his sons for sure... there cant be another alternative family all dead

Family line died out. D'you know if there is a plague outbreak? Had that happen with my Turkish campaign: son got it, dad got it, then the entire family got it at Acre.

Believe me that is a big relief, I recently finished Apachean Tribes on V/H and had to fight them. Those Conquistadores and Dragoons are a pain to say the least. Attacked them initially around about same turn as your at and regretted the decision. Thankfully I got a ceasefire and allowed the Aztecs and Mayans to do my dirty work. I took there last settlement Vera Cruz, which destroyed the faction, can't say about Havana, never saw it.
