CTD after a long game... help please
ok i posted the same issue in the SS forums, but i'm not sure, maybe its vanilla problem, or whatever. I'm just really eager to have it fixed.
playing as Knights Templar on v. SS 6.0
All I have is Kingdoms and necessary patches (no other mods)
I end turn at turn 163, AI movement is fine until Spain.
BAM.. CTD "M2TW encountered an unspecified error and will now exit". It could be Venice's fault as they go after Spain. Tried reloading quicksave and autosave, still no luck.
heres my log:
16:04:36.718 [system.rpt] [always] CPU: SSE2
16:04:36.718 [system.rpt] [always] ==== system log start, build date: Aug 3 2007 version bld-medieval2-kingdoms-104 (45562) ===

Someone help please, i want to finish my game!

It's a SS problem. There is a unit or a person of interest whose name doesn't match the game in the Spain faction. As heavily modded as it is, they would have a better chance of chasing it down.

Re: CTD after a long game... help please
i had a problem like this. It was really odd cause it happened at the start of my venice game. i had already played my hre, byzantines, etc (also had another venice game but i started a new one) and had not touched any of the folders in SS6.1.
So i did not create the problem. But then when i wanted to continue my hre game the same thing happened when loading, and the same with everyother game. i checked my log to find something similar to yours that wasn't there before (**note** i did not touch anything). Luckly i had a backup with my SS6.1 and all i did was copy my saved games, put them in my back up, delete my other SS6.1 and copy my backup to mods folder, then it was fixed. So if you have a backup do this, but if you don't then reinstalling seems the way to go. I also suggest going to SS forums and seeking help there.
How i got this is a mystery but i do know that my computer mysteriously shut down before that and the next time i turned it on to play SS there was this :S
edit: also multitasking might be the problem. i put in on windowed = 1 before my computer shut down!!

"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

No company will admit it including CA but multitasking will corrupt saves because of the way Windows allocates memory and write-to-disc priorities.
