    Default Question on Skinning Shields

Every time I want to skin a shield, I always have to draw or paste half a picture (like a face or a simple statue or symbol). like the Assyrian Sun or Star Symbol. So if I draw half the picture, during the game, the design would be reflected on the other side, thus making it look like a proper and complete design. (this means if you cut the pic in half and place it on a shield then you would see the other half in game).

But if I wanted to skin something like this http://www.larp.com/hoplite/GMarc2.jpg

How am I able to draw it? How can I skin a full shield with out editing on a quarter or half a shield in order to complete a full picture? any tutorial concerning this? Thank you in advance.

You need to change UVW maps in 3ds max (on your existing texture) on model unit!

You would change the UVW map so that it sources a whole shield part of the skin. You then skin the whole shield in your texture.
