Default Mount's texture is not displayed correctly

I was able to attach the Shishi model (Blue Lotus) to a horse's skeleton in Milkshape. Though I have gotten it to move correctly the texture has not been put on it correctly.

    Milkshape version:

    Game Version:

Does anyone know what I need to do to get it to display correctly? I used Grumpy's Mesh 2 Ms3d 1.8 to convert the ms3d file because KnightErrant's meshconverter would not convert it (I don't know why it would not convert it but it stopped after 'Number of vertices').

:hmmm: The gloss on the model suggests it is the alpha channel. Try pure black. Good Luck.

That didn't make much difference (I'll post a screenshot when Image shack is working properly). Is there anything that could be wrong with the mesh that would make the texture display wrongly?

I'm not sure I'm able to tell from the screen shots (not familiar with
Blue Lotus or the Shishi model) but is the texture stretched in the
u-direction by a factor of 2? Grumpy's converter only works for human
units which do uv coords in a different way; the u gets stretched by
a factor of 2 going into Milkshape and divided by 2 going back to the
mesh. Mounts and siege engines don't have this. (Attachments get done
    in yet another way.)

If the Shishi is a mount from a mod, my converter won't recognize its name
and can't supply a skeleton for it. (This probably contributes to the script
dying on the conversion.) A little confused here though, how is it a .mesh
file in the first place? I thought these would be RTW style .cas mesh files
converted by Grumpy's cas to Milkshape ASCII converter.

I don't know how it's stretched in the u-direction. I've attached the meshes I made using Grumpy's converter and your converter so you can examine them to determine this. I was able to get your mount converted to convert it by making the saddle part of the horse, rather than declaring it an 'attachment'. However the final mesh moved oddly and still didn't look correct (as shown in the image).

I made this mesh by getting the cas file from RTW and converted it to a ASCII text file. I then loaded the text file into milkshape and merged it onto a horse's skeleton (I got a horse m3sd and deleted everything but the skeleton). I added the comments from the horse ms3d. Finally I assigned all the parts to the horse's skeleton and deleted the human skeleton (I assigned all the secondary vertice weights to their respective parts and the saddle). This created a mesh that can move correctly but looks wrong.
