Default Historian in search of work

    Hi everyone,

Well I am primarily a military historian and I love battles, biographies, overviews things of that kind. I am also a top-notch researcher and I some friends that can help me out, if I can not do it alone.

As a historian I have many interests. I love Ancient Persia, and especially the Achaemenids and Sassanids, though Parthians are interesting too. The Successors of Alexander the Great are another major interest, especially the lesser known ones like the Bactrians. Branching off a bit I am also pretty skilled on the subject of the Hellenic City-States, both in Greece itself and in Megale Hellas and Anatolia. I am also skilled on the subjects of the Assyrian and Babylonian empires and Saitic Egypt. I also know some on the Medes and Elamites, but not as much as other subjects.

Moving on from there I am also a big enthusiast on the subject of Chinese history from Late Warring States to the end of the Yuan. I focus on Han, Three Kingdoms, Age of Fragmentation, Sui, and Tang. Japan is another big thing for me and recently my interest has really peaked on the period of Late Heian to the end of the Namboku-cho.

I also cover Central Asia and nomads pretty well, especially groups like the Yuezhi, Huns, Turks, Bulgars, Khitan, and Mongols.

I am also interested in Muslim history and especially Fatimid Egypt and the early Abbasid Khalifat. My major interest here is the wars waged by the Muslims and the Tang over Central Asia. I love the Ottomans and Turkish history in general as well.

Later in history I also cover the Middle Ages pretty well, especially the Crusades period and the Eastern Roman Empire. British Isles, Spain, the Viking North and Eastern Europe are also big interests during this time. Basically the whole Middle Ages really.

Anyway I guess you can say I am pretty much a jack-of-all-trades. Just one last note, a disclaimer really:

If you give me a request I WILL fulfill it. I am dependable, you can count on that. But I have the WORST timing and scheduling issues so while I will get back to you on requests and work it may take me a while.

If you are interested in using me please send in a PM or post in this thread. Sometimes both, just in case I forget about my inbox.

    Thank you,
    Shogun 144

I need another historian for my ETW Mughal mod (click on my sig) plus the deadlines are extremely long (we have until 2009 to get all the research done)

Post in the mod's thread if you get this, but i'll PM you as well just to make sure.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
