hotseat and lan

how does lan work? i could never figure it out before with tthis game or any other game.

also can i install my copy of medieval onto another computer or does do i have to buy another copy? because if i have to buy another copy then i rather just play hotseat on this one computer. even though it would be easier just to play on 2 computers over lan.

can someone help me out?

You need the disk, to run a LAN game for MTW legitly. So in that regard yes you do need two copies. Otherwise do you have friends that play? They should have their own disks...
