vanilla or stainless steel?

which is better vanilla or stainless steel?

i havent been much into mods for tw games before but i want to try one because regular medieval has alot of anoying little problems.

what is the difference between vanilla and stainless steel and the regular game and which one should i try first?

if someone could send me links that would be great.

well the regular game is vanilla
anyways, try out vanilla first. you know, beat a couple of campaigns just to get the feel for it

then when you are done and tired of vanilla's bugs and glitches, then go for SS.
it should be in the kingdoms: hosted modifications section

I played vanilla for a couple months, which I highly recommend - otherwise you won't really be able to appreciate the absolute amazing awesomess and glory of great mods like SS that people have put countless hundreds of hours into

I downloaded SS 3 days ago and I'm loving it. Yes, it does seem a bit slower, but it seems to work more like it's supposed to.

On the bugs\crashes note - I used to crash constantly on vanilla... then I realized my ram (Two 1GB Kingston sticks) might be going bad, so I got new ram! (Two 2GB Kingston HyperX or something... the one with the blue heat spreaders) and it now works flawlessly. The only crash I've since was with SS was when I tried to dink around with the descrs >_<.

Try Lands to Conquer or the retrofit mod. Stainless steel just feels, weird, slow and bleh-ish.

i agree..not to mention it has it's own set of bugs/crashes

while retrofit along with the unit addon runs smoothly with no problems

^What u just said makes absolutely no sense, but hey none of your posts do.

Anyway SS is an improved vanilla with more factions and other stuff like fixes. Worth a try.

Stainless Steel is much much better. Like said before, its the OOO of MTW2.
