With an ongoing debate on the main XGM forums about new faction ideas, I decided to completely remove the Scythians in favor of rather more interesting factions.
Anyone can suggest their historical faction ideas here, I will get the poll started with 2 factions, but if you have a good background for another faction, I will add it to the poll list. - I will stay neutral on this.
-) Kingdom of Syracuse: This faction would include the powerful city of Syracuse and possibly a city in the center of Sicily.
The Greek cities in Spain could also be given under Sicily's control.
It would be just another Greek faction, similar to that of IGCS and Achaea
-) Kingdom of Illyria: This would replace the rebel stacks and make a new faction right next to Rome. It will probably have low level units and not that many elites. A mediocre army compared to what Rome has - Semi-Barbarian.
-) Barbarian Tribes: To add a little flavor to battles in the depths of barbarian forests, a faction spanning many cities in the barbarian lands. They would make raids against other factions like true barbarians ever. Their faction colors will not differ from that of the rebels and in a sturdy alliance, they will also not attack rebel cities, but concentrate on more important errands as Aedui, Arverni, Iberians, Germans, Dacians and whoever else blocks their path.
An unplayable faction that would add some interesting twists and turns to campaigns.
If you have any suggestions of your own, feel free to share them here. And also explain why you chose the faction - decision will be still made on the relevance of your posts.
