Sometime ago I played BI on a much bigger map than regular Vanilla BI.
Forgot where I downloaded it from.
I played as the ERE. It was fun. The Sassanid's really tooned me up in the beginning. Were it not for me camping out on a river crossing, I would have taken a major beating from the Sassanids.
I was really under the cosh for awhile.
In Europe, all I could really do was hide behind my city walls vs the Huns.
Fighting them in the field got my troops slaughtered.
Defending a city was much easier against the Huns than fighting them in the field.
They ended up going after the WRE.
I didn't have any rebellions like the WRE. I allied with the rebel WRE in North Africa.
It was very much like playing the Oda clan in Shogun TW. Under the gun to hold onto what you have. It takes awhile before you can take any new territories. Using hills and rivers not because it makes sense, but because if you don't, you have no chance of winning.
Anyway, a couple of things I am looking for.
1) Four turn per years. For me this is a must. It was the main thing that turned me off BI. Before I know it my family members are old geezers about to croak.
2) Bigger map. Gotta have a big map with lots more cities than vanilla.
Wouldn't mind seeing the Sassanids have some one else to fight apart from the ERE. After the ERE, the Sassanids were my favs in BI.
I much prefer the east to the west in RTW, and its carried over to BI.
3) Brutally tough on both the West Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. Not a must, but would be nice.
Suggestions anyone?
