CAE help?

so ive downloaded other mods from here before and installed them with no problem. i bought m2tw on steam and thats where i run it from, when i install CAE 1.4 its not located where the mods would be and the .exe shortcut will only open a cmd screen then disapeer. can anyone give me some detailed instructions or help please?

The command line can't find the batch file or the mod.

Since I haven't downloaded CEA, I wouldn't know how their installer works.

What I know about Steam is what I read here. I read that Steam has its own folder and that is where it also wants the mods installed especially those with mod folders. My advice is use the search in My Computer to find out where CAE is installed, where its .bat file is, edit the command line in the shortcut to match it.

see but the thing is i installed it in that folder first, then tried the regular, and then both. is what happens is steam has this m2tw interface with a drop down bar, lands to conquer and retrofit mod show there. CAE still wont show up. the .bat runs and opens the steam interface.

Buddy, if you can play the other mods, that just became a CAE problem.

Have you contacted CAE?

basicly I bought m2tw on steam so they have an interface with a drop down menu that shows the game and mods. all other mods and m2tw games show there, CAE will not. clicking the CAE desktop.exe will boot a black cmd screen for 3 seconds and disaper, if steam is closed the cmd will open steam and the m2tw interface. it never loads or will let me play the game at all. i have not contacted CAE. if someone could point me in a direction or get me help i could do the rest. thanks

Have you asked Steam's support why it will support some mods and not others? Have you researched Steam's site to find out what guidelines/parameters mods need to be recognized by it? It sounds very much like a Steam/mod problem that needs to handled through them.
