Elephant Mercenaries
I was playing as Parthia this morning and I saw the Elephant Mercenary available. I saw the upkeep (1,000) and thought that it might not be that good (mods kill elephants sometimes) but got it anyway. The enemy had a massive phalanx army and I sallied (with elephants) using my city as the anchor to my left flank. I placed a desert infantry in loose formation and put the elephant behind them. The enemy line drew close, and switched their peltasts to my left and sent them forward. My infantry pushed them back and our lines clashed.
My Elephants went forward at this moment and flanked and then gored the enemy from behind. After a rout and chase I looked at the statistics to see my Elephant's kills. They wiped out 248 men in one 11 second charge!
