    Default Too Many Units

    I recently built myself a new pc, an e8400 currently clocked at 4ghz and a 9800gx2 graphics card plus 2gb ram (cost me a bit ) but With these specs medieval 2 plays brilliantly at top settings including 8x AA and 16X AF with my monitors top resolution of 1680 x 1050. I would have thought with these specs i would not keep getting this message in the campaign telling me reinforcements cant arrive as my computer can't handle them. Ive played a custom battle with 4 armies each with 20 X 150 men before it starts to run slowly significantly making it annoying so it seems to me medieval 2 is under estimating my pc's power a bit (i still get the warning when making customs battles this big however telling me i have too many units but it runs fine still :hmmm.

    Basically i was wondering if there is any way of turning off medieval 2 from preventing reinforcements? I dont want to have to turn my graphics down as it looks sweet at these settings and i want bigger battles.

    Open your medieval2.preferences.cfg file with Notepad and find this line:
    unlimited_men_on_battlefield = 0
    ... and change the 0 to a 1. Should solve the issue.

    yes there is
    in your medieval II main directory, theres a file called medieval2.preferences.cfg
    right click and select properties
    make sure that the read-only box is unchecked
    then open medieval2.preference.cfg
    under [game] near the bottom, there is a line called unlimited_men_on_battlefield= 0
    change that 0 to 1
    and there you go!
