Can you guys what should be effects set to in video options to see my soldiers stabbing and doing finishing moves, now i have set effects to low, can you please suggest which level of effects would show this.

it just...happens i guess. effects has to do with stuff like EXPLOSIONSand fire arrows and MORE EXPLOSIONS
when the opportunity is right, the soldiers will do it. it doesnt happen all the time though
what i recommend you do is play a custom battle between two sword-and-shield carrying units, like dismounted knights, and then watch the soldiers brutally stab each other
