Russian neo nazism

Russian neo nazism puzzles me. The Slavs weren't exactly top grade races in Hitler's book. Why would skinheads in Russia worship Hitler while at teh same time proclaiming white supremacy? (white means pure slav) Besides, Hitler did kill lots of Russian innocents, and also sent lots to slavery in concentration camps. Were all these forgotten? During my trip to Russia, many of hte "white Russians" don't look like standard white Europeans to me. Most of them have a slight exotic tinge that sets them apart from other Europeans. So again, how neo nazism has such great support in Russia puzzles me.

And then there is the strong anti-caucasian and central asian sentiment over there. Now, the Russian federation consists of many central asian and caucasian republics. Yet these neo nazis wish to expel them from Russia? Again, logic gap. Now, the problem in Chechnya has caused some racist sentiments against caucasians and muslims in general, but these neo nazis hate non-muslims caucasians too, including those of orthodox christianity.

There is also a saying in Russia that scratch any Russian and you can find Tartar in it. So how is it then, that neo nazism has gained such strong support in Russia?

Pretty much every nation has some form of neo-nazism. Even Israel, and the neo-nazis in question are often second-generation Western immigrants.

It is not neo nazism, but a plain old nationalism and racism. Hardly anything to do with Hitler.

These days white supremacy is often linked with Nazism even though they are not necessarily the same.

Nevertheless, most racists are stupid young thugs anyway. You cannot expect them to have that much knowledge and wisdom.

I doubt they even know that humanity originated from East Africa and stuff like that. Once a racist dummy told me that all great civilizations were started by people who belonged to the white race and they were also the ones who built the pyramids and stuff. Duh!

Russia had some harsh times in the 90's. Their empire and economy fell. Whenever the economy takes a downturn, the extremists appear.
And indeed, national socialism isn't exclusively German. It may have only existed in Germany until now, but any nation can use it.

I remember seeing the doco "Ross Kemp on Gangs" where in one episode he investigated these guys...I too found it somewhat amusing that Russians could admire Hitler. Not as funny as a Jewish Nazi would be, but amusing nonetheless.

Many Caucasian societies have ancient codes of conduct derived from the ways of the mountains which are completely incompatible with the modern world. You've heard of honor killings of Muslim women in the west, well for a Chechen it is considered culturally acceptable to kill someone in a very, very large number of circumstances.
