need help

hey,
on the main menu when i choose late era campaign i get CTD.
what may be wrong?

Did you change any files or are you skipping around the menu? Did you install both part 1 and part 2 of the game?

yeah,i got both and i haven't changed anything. i have noticed one thing, when i push "early era campaign" it lets me coose my nation instantly,but when i push "late era campaign" it shows me little text introduxtion page,when i press next ,then i get CTD

weird..I say restart your computer, I believe the install requires a restart and if that doesnt work, uninstall and try again, that should fix any problem you maybe having.

It does that to me sometime. I never touched any file in the game. I just fire it back up and it usually is ok. Games got some kinks in it still naturally but what can ya do.

i used to have the problem before but a simple fix i found was to wait a few seconds between each click , choose late era (wait 2/3 seconds) select the late era option on next screen (wait again) the click next.

this might not be a fix for everyone but its always worked for me

I have a similar crash whenever I first click on Early Era and then, before starting a game, decide to go back and click on Late Era. But no crash when I click on Late Era first.

I often get crashes in the menu- when I go to do a custom game, start a campaign as certain factions, click on anything- but for me, all I have to do to reload the game and whatever crashed on me worked fine. But I find my Late Campaign button crashes like 60% of the time.

I really dont care though. this game is so sweet I got no problem reloading until it works, and so far, there hasn't been anything a quick reload hasn't fixed.

Its known bug when changing era for example you are about to start early than you decide to start late and when you start you get CTD automatically, it cant be solved (I guess bcs of using maximum number of factions) and its also connected with custom battles but aint sure now how exactly.
