Just for starters, delete the map.rwm and start a new campaign.

What's happening is the .sd files are bleeding into each other. That is a memory leak. Have you checked your memory to see if you have a bad stick?

It was working fine until I used the xpak. My memory is fine. I installed more memory, but that was weeks ago and I have played Rome several times within the time I used the XPAK and unpacked the packs. Right after, it started to do that. Also, all my other games work fine, Along with the other ones made by CA.

The only way I know to get rid of it then is to uninstall anr reinstall the game. Xpak is the only tool we have to unpack them that part we're stuck. Before running it next time disable anything that doesn't pertain to the unpacking before you run it. It uses old DOS commands in a batch file and with shared memory of Windows, things like updaters, ims, etc. can cause file corruption while unpacking.
