    Icon6 Lake-locked ships, Argghh matey!

Quite frequently I find that there are faction and rebel ships stuck in the little lakes around the map.

Do they have any effect on your population happiness? (I wouldnt be too happy if I couldnt go swimming or fishing because of the pesky lake-pirates!)

Second, regardless of their effect, is there any way to get rid of them?

Maybe one can "move_character" them away and into the open seas?

Yup, that's what I do. IIRC, the issue is that if a rebel sub-faction can recruit ships and the lake has an "ocean" tile (but not a "deep ocean" tile), then it'll recruit a ship there. A "fix" would be to redo the map so all lakes are "deep ocean". That, at least for me, is non-trivial (which is to say it's beyond my abilities). Also wouldn't be save compatible, since you'd have to delete map.rwm and let the game rebuild it.

Hit the ~ to bring the council down and then find a space out in the open sea and type

    show_cursorstat

Hit enter and it will display a series off numbers. Next you have to find out the Pirates Captains name by hovering over him. Then type in the console

    move_character "[Captains Name]",xxx,xxx

You have to use the quotation makes and when it comes to ships Admiral/Capitan serves as their first name. XXX are the coordinates of where this character will be moved. After you type all that up, hit enter and the pirate should appear wherever XXX by XXX is.
