English Huscarles.
I use SS 6.1, BYG III, RR, SSTC 1.2 and RaJ.
So, I have a couple of "damaged" units of eng. huscarles, and I'd like to retrain them.
The only problem is that I can't do that. They appear in the "retrain" menu, but are not selectable.
I thought that it might have something to do with faction zeal, or something else from BYG, but is shouldn't be so, since I've tried to retrain them in a city
where the king was.
Maybe they are not purchasable anymore after a certain year?

IMO, if huscarls are recruitable at castles, you need to bring them to a castle to retrain them. Also, if the pool hasn't to be empty, so check how many turns are left to recruit one huscarl unit.
If recruiting huscarls needs some special requirements, like a council war member in the castle and a % of your religion, then you need to met those conditions to retrain them.
One last thing, if you instaled BygIII from the autoinstaller of SS6.0, then you need to download a file-fix. It is at the bottom of BygIII thread (submods forum), it's called "data" and it fixes some recruiting problems.

Re: English Huscarles.
I assume your talking about the mercenary unit. I think the retraining depends on the location your trying to recruit them from. If your attempting this anywhere besides southern England, then I dont think you can retrain them there. If you are in southern England, then they should be available to retrain over time. Have a general pop out of a city to see if you can recruit a full unit. If not, then you will probably have to wait a few more turns for their numbers to replenish.

Yes, I was talking about the mercs.
Anyway, I'm in southern England, but they're currently unavailable.
I'll wait some turns and see what happens.
