AI multi-siege
Hello one and all,
I was wondering if the AI ever sieges a settlement with more than one army? As in actually attack (the animation on map) and build siege equipment?
Because it seems whenever they use multiple armies, the non-main army seems to sit waiting until doors are broken/ladders/etc by the main army, then walk very slowly and orderly around the settlement in single (unit) file. They then very politely walk under the shower of burning oil, one at a time, general first, saying hi to my front line of troops before routing!
If I had to defend multiple entrancies from rams/ladders/etc at the same time it would be much harder (and enjoyable). This is assuming the AI has no catapults/trebs/cannons/etc.

Re: AI multi-siege
I have never seen it. The only times I can remember having to defend multiple sides of a settlement against multiple AI armies is if the secondary army has catapults or trebuchets (as ballistas are mainly used for tickling walls as opposed to breaching them). If they breach the walls, they will attack. But if not, then they wait until there is an opening to take their leisurely stroll to certain death.

Re: AI multi-siege
This topic was discussed previously in sub-mod forum. Only one sieging AI army is going to build siege equipment, other'll never do this. Nobody can change it (except CA I think) through modding.
