SPQR CTD at Campaign begin

Hello to all

I got here a little problem with this mod. First i have to say, that i downloaded it a month ago and played it succesfully. Then I hadnt time anymore and was a little pissed so i decided to deinstall it. Now i'd like to re install it. I tried Rome Surrectum before , but got bored really fast. So i deletet everything of RS and installed RTW new. I downloaded the SPQR .exe file and installed it like the last time. I also checked up the file pref.txt and set it to false( like in the readme). Now, everytime i want to start a campaign, when i press the button to start campaign, the game crashes and im back at the desktop. I deinstalled rome already twice and reinstalled RTW+ SPQR also twice, but it still doesnt work. So, i hope you can help me with that.

ps. I know there maybe similar threads already but didnt knew what to search for and in the Faq's is nothing useful.

Maybe you should try manually deleting everything in folders, also check versions, clean your registry, install to different location

I got Total war Eras Gold edition, so i think versions should be ok. THe thing i dont understand is: I installed it the same way like last time, just this time it isnt working. What should i install to a different location? Hole RTW?

What I do is following.
Have a CLEAN - ie nothing in the directory aka its newly created - installation of Rome Total War - I too have golden edition, thus the directory name is different. Already patched to 1.5
2nd - copy the entire RTW folder someplace else onto my HDD, name it SPQR and copy contents into it
3rd - I install SPQR from downloaded installation file

4th! - I play the game...

What contents?

Everything besides the folder name like when you click the RTW folder, everything in it.
Its just same like copying the folder and renaming it

hmm, weird that after a reinstallation it still doesn't work...

have you tried -show_err ?
what did it say?

you need to delete the rtw folder afther uninstalling the game. when you uninstal it the original rtw folder is still on your hd in this folder you will finde some left overs from rome surrectum. this will be the cause of your ctd.

I installed it new and deletet everything else. I guess there was still something from Roma Surrectum left. No, everythings ok. Thank you all.
