This is an AAR for Stainless Steel 6.1. Details are as follows,
1. Report every 15 turns, citing major events
2. Report upon this as to give an impression of a campaign using SS 6.1
3. Go into a "theatrical presentation" when the story gets interesting
4. Follow the status of Family Members
The only modifications I use are no supply traits (via patch 6.1) and a few tweaks of my own. This first page is an intro, reported at turn 15 and will be my starting point.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I used Lusted's Campaign AI and Battle AI for SS, found in the SS sub mod forum.
"Cheer not friends, for blood has been spilt upon our ancestral homeland, we can never wash our hands clean of our brothers blood."
-Domnall the Chivalrous, Battle of Cork
Here you see the current status of the Kingdom of Scotland, the Scottish Royal Family, and how the tribute has boosted our income. King Malcom has four sons, Prince Donchad, Domnall the Chivalrous, and their two younger brothers who are still taking classes in administration in the capital of Edinburgh.
In his youth, Donchad was a cruel leader. He beat the peasants in the village of York on an almost daily basis. It was hard for King Malcom to restrain Donchad from raising the place to the ground when he conquered the English rebels in the village.
However, the Scottish diplomat to France accomplished his mission to establish an alliance between Scotland and France. The French Princess Constance Capet was said to be the fairest Lady any royal house could ever hope to have in those days. She was to be wed to the Scottish Prince.
Donchad fell in love at first sight, all of his anger at the English seemed to die down, he stopped dead in his tracks and stared. They could not speak, for neither understood the others language, but the Princess showed Donchad the light of doing all things good. Soon York became a town, and Donchad was gaining more authority and respect from the Scottish clans. (The second largest clan dismissed the german assassin they had hired to end Donchad)
Soon Prince Donchad was hailed as The Honourable, a title that was almost as worthy of the common man as his younger brothers.
Domnall was charged by his father to secure the Scots ancient homeland from the rebel Irish, and then to gain the allegiance of King O'Brian the Merciless who ruled the other half of Ireland with an iron fist. All of Ireland, except Dublin, bowed before their King, his word was the word of God.
Domnall did not wish to punish the Irish. He laid Siege to Dublin until the rebels came out, most were captured with minimal loses on the Scottish side. Upon entering Dublin, Domnall found a relic thought lost to the Celts for ages. The Book of Kells affirmed Domnall's Chivalrous convictions, and helped him peacefully gain the allegiance of the Irish peoples he had conquered.
Domnall now had to face the self proclaimed King of all Ireland. Domnall knew he would not surrender easily. Attacking the town of cork from sea, Domnall thought he would take the settlement in the night with no loss of life. Unfortunatly, King O'Brians elite spy Ronan got word and told his liege. At once two armies led by two Irish generals with dread reputation appeared, and the lone Irish Prince emerged from Cork to aid his fathers armies.
The battle was bloody, both side lost as many men as the other. However, all the Irish generals, and the Irish Prince, the Irish King's only son, were slain. The remaining armys surrendered to Domnall.
Domnall then presceded to Galway despire the warning from the Pope. However, when he arrived the once feared Irish King emerged unarmed from his castle. He said he had lost all that was important to him in his son, and that he would give in to King Malcom's demands.
Domnall told him that their proud clan would become a vassal of the Scottish, and that Scotland would protect their land. Domnall returned to Cork, and gave up war forever.
Prince Donchad had secretly vowed he would succeed where his father had failed. He would conquer the English and drive them from the Isles once and for all! He sent a spy into the might castle of Nottingham. The spy soon discovered Prince William's strange perversions, and also the fact that the English had her armies elsewhere. William was with a strange "woman?" and he seemed to like touching men......even the scottish spy had to endure one of his "caresses".
Until next time lads! + rep me if you enjoy it. comments are appreciated, questions too, and even suggestions or speculations.
