Sacred Symbols.
Hey everyone, this is not really related to BC but can people post symbols(be they mystical, patriotic, religious, military etc) of the areas of BC, Georgia Armenia, Persia, Tengric symbols; whatever ya got, I'd like to see!

This is a well known symbol, largely used even today - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsa
iYi - without the dots was used during the medieval times by all sorts of pagans and by some autors is regarded as the symbol of Dulo tribe or dynasty - the bulgar guys.

Well i've seen Khamsa's in Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Kuwait.... Along with the Nazir - the eye - it's quite popular in Turkey

I've even seen it in China :tooth:, but what I meant is that it's not a very widespread and popular symbol in the regions you've stated (well...I havent been farther then Syria...)- its even part of today's Istanbul logo, but I met no stanbuliote who knew what it was (it was a subject of hight interest to me

It is a guardian spirit I believe representing
Zoroaster, the founder of the Faith.

This a Mongol/Turk shaman drum from a religion called Tengriism. It shows their world view. It shows world tree in the middle connecting the three worlds; Upper, middle, and under according to wiki.
