Replace Feudal Knights with Chivalric Knights [France]

I want to play a game as France and I want to replace the Feudal Knights with the Chivalric Knights or if I could just add the Chivalric Knights to roster as it is in custom battle. Anyone know how to do this?

Strife, not sure were you are coming from. You want to replace Dis Feuds with Dis Chivs? That might lead to some balancing issues.

its very easy, look for export_descr_buildings in your data directory and search for this line

recruit_pool "Dismounted Chivalric Knights" 1 0.5 4 0 requires factions { spain, france, }

just add france there, and you can recruite them in the armory building in your castles

not as bad as if you gave something like dismounted imperial knights to France. HRE lack the excellent ranged selection that France have, so they deserve them. chivs aren't that much better than feudals. i tend to see France not having them as a bug since they appear in custom battle, unless all of that is intentional. it also makes less sense to me to have such a highly noble level of cavalry (Lancers/Gendarmes) and not have a slightly similar dismounted representation...
