Default a few questions on hoi2

Well i was playing the north africa acenario as the british and if i tryed to bomb abuljegan or something it would say bomb bengazi even though i clicked on the other province do you know why this is?

And is there a way where you can pick say Great Britain without it being at war as i need to gradually progress to full scale battles i find it hard to organise everything and always lose track of things

    thankyou

You tried playing on slow? And why don’t you play 1936 scenario if you don’t want to be at war?

Bombers attack regions, not specific provinces. I'm guessing Bengazi was the region, so it would attack the first army that got in the bombers way in the region.

Play the 1936 scenario. Most people start their game there, you have 3 years to prepare for war.

when you select the area for bombing, do you notice the fact that certain areas (several provinces) have coloured areas. It means that aircraft squadron will bomb anywhere in that coloured region you selected not just in the province you clicked. If there are several targets, the squadron will pick the easiest one i think.

i think in vanilla, the axis will always declare war on you (otherwise, it wouldnt be much of a ww2 game), but perhaps you could browse the HOI2 forums for mods/further questions about this?

everyone starts at war in the 1956 scenario, try the 1936 scenario.

Money is produced through Consumer Goods. The higher you set the slider, the more money you get. But you don't really need lots of it.

To keep dissent down make sure you don't have the production of consumer goods in red. Not only does dissent raise revolt values , it also impairs your TC and makes soldiers fight less efficently.

Why did you release the colonies? How were they troublesome?

I wouldn't really recommend Great Britain for a new player. It can be a logistical nightmare untill you learn about supply and proper use of navy.. Releasing nations is never a good option as dissent is something you want to avoid.

Germany or the USSR are great to practice with..
