    Default Chivalry or Dread

does using assassins affect ur global reliability?
does higher dread necessarily influence higher 'unreliability'?

i've found that chivalry is better for governors and may in fact increase growth (mainly becuz chivalrous governors will reduce taxes).
what other 'activities' besides releasing prisoners and building churches can increase chivalry?

true to machiavelli's writings, being a complete and assassinating everyone left, right and centre gives u higher dread and authority

does breaking an alliance vai diplomat give u a worse global rep??

Fighting honourably in battles, governing a settlement with a jousting yard
'If I am unrighteous, why does God not stop me?'

High chivalry in the faction leader increases loyalty of his generals whereas dread tends to decrease loyalty. Either way the faction leader can have high authority. It seems easier and faster to get high authority and dread because all one has to do is recruit and use assassins and spies and sack/exterminate settlements, kill prisoners, and eliminate factions (also avoid sending faction leader on crusades or being in a city when priests are recruited and cathedrals are built).

Chivalry massively increases the growth of a settlement. It also increases the morale of the troops.

Dread may decrease growth, increase public order (but also increase un- happiness), and decreases enemy morale.

Piety is what keeps your settlements happy. High chivalry, high piety are the best governors. I don't use dread Generals whatsoever, as I love the morale boost from chivalry.

Crusades and Jihads are the best to get chivalry. Put all your Generals in a stack, then go on a crusade or jihad, once you take the city, you'll have some of the best generals. High chivalry, high piety, high command.
