    Default Teutonic style family tree

What files do I have to alter to change factions with old family tree into the teutonic style family tree?

    Wanted for:
Breaking and gluing back together and trying to pass off as never being broken in the first place.
Assault with a weapon that couldn't have possibly been deadly, but unfortunately was

"You know what they say: give a man a fish, and he'll stink up the whole town. Give a man a fishing rod -- see where I'm going here? Give him a fishing rod and he'll poke your eye out."

Rep goes both ways, just leave your name

May I humbly ask (a bit off-topic) what is different about the Teutonic family tree?

    Cheers,

The only difference I have seen between "teutonic" and "no" values for has_family_tree is in the Teutonic Kingdoms mod, there's separate titles for adoption aka "Recruitment" in event_titles in text.

I think you don't get wives or something so they don't procreate, they recruit.

No thing is everything. Every thing is nothing.

This is what the teutonic family system does:

    - Removes the faction's family tree. The faction wont get any princesses.
    - The general with the highest command rating becomes the new leader when the current leader dies.
    - Faction heirs are still there for the faction, but being the 'heir' does not actually make a general the new leader when the current leader dies. Instead, the faction heir is now just a special title with some benefits to various attributes, that can obviously only be held by one character at a time. When the 'heir' dies, a new character gets the title like normal.
An example is the Ordenmarshall from the teutonic order. He does not necessarily have to become the new leader.

You can then change various labels in expanded.txt to remove any references to "Family Member" and the like. For example, the labels of the various teutonic members on the campaign map are "Member of the Teutonic Order"

    Jonr-

    Thanks a lot. +rep
The highest command rating general becomes the leader if the entry is "No" for has_family_tree too, right?
Also, is it hardcoded that the criteria is command stars (can it be changed to use authority instead)?

I don't know for sure who becomes the faction leader when you use "no" for has_family_tree, because I've never used that.
As for the criteria, I haven't been able to find anything in the .xml files regarding this, so it's probably hardcoded.
