If you're thinking of the legion system Roma Surrectum uses, then this is different. Basically if you recruit some comitatenses somewhere, next to their unit name they have the name of the legion they belong to.
is there a list of legions that are in the game?

I don't believe so... They don't look different or anything, so I guess there's not much point in a list. Besides, In my experience, you'll end up with alot of mixed up legions as you try to hold back the Barbarian hordes/Sassanids.
You can recruit them only in Roman lands, each type of legion in specific AOR, for ex. British legioneres are only from Britania below the wall. If you want play historicly don't build more than four in one army and the rest of infantry shud be Auxilia cohors and /or foederati. Not only names but shields are from Notitia, bravo Ramon![]()

wow, that's a step down from 9 cohorts and a first cohort... no wonder the Romans had a hard time...
