When will we be able to log into the servers?

It takes about 20 attempts for me to log into the MP servers. After reading these forums, i see I am not alone. How long has this been going on, and is there an expected fix soon? Does this affect nearly everyone?

You're experiencing the same problem (which can be found in multiple other threads here). I'm new to Medieval II, and I've been having this problem since I bought this game last month. It's been bad for much longer than that though (or so I've been told).

Ok I haven't been very critical in a long time, but now it's time.

Who was the person that actually had said they were in contact with gamespy? We really need CA to address this, I've all but given up playing for a variety of reasons but this takes the cake. I mean is it reasonable for this to continue for those of us who don't care all that much for campaigns? I mean don't get me wrong hotseat is fun, but nothing in my opinion beats real time multiplayer that's how I started with Medieval 1 and I see no point in continuing the series as a turn based game.

Seriously we need CA to put some pressure on gamespy to get their act together this is ridiculous. To see this many complaints here and elsewhere is totally unacceptable.

Yeah, I suggest that if you can't get online that you either:

1) keep trying until you connect successfully. But do yourself a favor, and just stop trying if you can't connect after 10 minutes.

2) play another Total War game online (which might not be an option for some people)

Well someone needs to step in either from Sega or CA and go to bat for us. It is sad, because no matter how great Empire will be I'm a Medievalist. To be forced to wait for Medieval mods just to be able to play online regularly is not only an awful long time, but just plain wrong.

And since RTW has problems, M2 has them it is likely that ETW will have them as well. And that will be a big problem.

Man... I really hate problems that don't get addressed. I really don't want to have to go all the way over to the official forums and wade through the complaint threads to find out what's going on... I know that's the only way these things get recognized though...

Has anyone else brought this up on the official forums, I mean I know people there must have, but anyone from TWC yet?

Just a quick mention....... myself and others continue to play on-line in the gamespy server everynight.
It's seem to help me in connecting to gamespy, by rebooting my PC prior to booting up the game.
Also always a good idea to keep your PC cleaned up.... I run a diskclean regularly, specailly if I'm having trouble connecting.
Don't know if that'll help anybody or not........ but we are playing on-line everynight and some days.

Well that doesn't surprise me as I've never had much trouble connecting at night in all the years I've played on gamespy. It's always during peak daytime hours in the US that seem to get people complaining.
