    My best guess at your question would be setting your victory conditions
    Maybe this will help

    Hope that helps you.
    Hope to see you in the game.

    I don't know much about vista, short of I'm gonna hate it, for quite some time, once I have to have it on new system. I know a lot of people have issues that don't apply to XP.

    Personally I've never changed my .cfg file to read only, I figure I'd rather have my game reconfiguring to the original specs, and adding the 2 lines just isn't enough of a hassel for me to want to change things. So I'll re-add them, each time I'm wanting to use the battle editor.

    Here one post I posted in refference to adding the lines..... I always scroll to the bottom of my .cfg file, hit enter to allow a space between the original data and the 2 newly added lines..... Click on the link to see how the 2 added lines should look at the bottom of your .cfg file.

    Click "save", not "save as" when you're saving the new data on your .cfg file.
    Don't know if any of this will help or not..... I know that vista seems to be a little harder to work with when it comes to changing things up.

    Best of luck, if I can help in any way feel free to let me know.

    hey thanks for trying to help me out i really appreciate it
    yea the two lines were
    [features]
    editor=true

    i saw on some other forums that changing it back to read - only will make sure you dont have to open it up again and put the lines in again for battle editor, its supposed to save it there somehow.

    and yea i put it at the very bottom made a space and checked read only, and every time i go back to check its there, but for some reason wont start up in the options of mtw2
    $100 says its vista... any takers?

    viking were the two lines;

    [features]
    editor=true

    if they werent that explains why it didnt work. Also, you have to do that every time you want to access the battle editor. So if you entered the lines, started the game, quit, and started the game again, it wouldnt be there the second time. Or at least that's what happens to me.
