    Default Free Capital Change

I'm not getting charged when I move my capital even though I'm playing VH/VH. I've got a couple mods installed, but nothing crazy. Anyone know what's happening?

might help if you let us know which mods you have installed just in case.

    Total Combat
    Real Recruitment
    Lusted's AIs
The one that makes the extreme hills go away
    Banners mod

    Think that's it.

    Is there any quick fix??

I've noticed once you reach a certain financial level the SS specific events stop costing. Pirates, Great Councils, Trade Fairs...they don't cost anymore, probably because 1500 out of a 600000 purse just doesn't matter

Okay, so accidentally hit on something, that hadn't struck me. I don't think the SS specific events are taking place at all. In the process of installing the mods, could I have overwritten the SS script?

the events are in the custom.script.txt files (1 each for early and late campaigns) in SS6.0/data/world/maps/campaign/custom (or imperial campaign) folders.

mine are dated 02/05/2008 so if you have them dated otherwise they may have been over-written. If you can examine them see if the events have been commented out.

Wierdness...the custom_script is there <...\Stainless_Steel_6\data\world\maps\campaign> for the Late Era Campaign and the Grand Council, etc events are there, but there's no early campaign folder at all. I was playing an early campaign, which is why I didn't see it. Don't think I was mucking around in there, so not sure where it went.

In case I may have confused you the early campaign folder is labelled imperial_campaign

Use the search function of windows (it's on the start menu on winXP) for the file name to see where they are located on your system.

Have you installed the latest version of quark's traits, events and ancilliaries files here:

NOTE: you have to cut and paste the pirates fix into the correct files.

You'll need to start a new campaign for them to take effect.
