Unable to install the main Medieval 2: Total War game in Gold
Hi.
I am in a spot of trouble, well that's lie, I am in big technical trouble.
Basically, I installed M2TW Gold fine first time and then uninstalled everything because it kept crashing. Then, as anyone would I tried to install it again. However, this time I only get the options to install the kingdoms expansions - I can't install the main game. Therefore I go into the disk files and try to manually install. However, it says that all M2TW products are fully installed, when only the kingdoms are. I then went into Program files and checked that the files weren't there, and they weren't, the original game also wasn't in Add/Remove programs as I had already fully removed it.
As a consequence I am now completely stuck and cannot play the main game as it won't install, let alone the kingdoms expansions which need the main one to run.
Someone please help, as I have waited ages to play this game, and now cannot.
Cheers

You need to clean your registry. If you have Vista, read the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

Yes, I've already done that, but if you would give me a clear, definite way of doing it, maybe I've done something wrong.
