The axes look like AD's work. The unit itself seems like pretty conventional conversion of M2TW stuff.

I think the issue is whether they asked AD's permission or not, as if not that would be quite douchebagish. Whups, there I go, stirring again.

The Axes are AD's & some of the helmet's are.

It frustrates me to see the amount of plagiarism that is evident in Medieval Total War II modding. I never saw this nearly as proliferated as back in Rome, and it's sad to see it evident without even crediting original permission. What's worse is that this Italian mod HAS done great stuff on their own, so I really cannot see why they felt the need to take someone else's material.

Nothing we can do either way, and in the end it doesn't matter but it's disappointing to see.

someone should post in their forums and ask if they had AD's permission to use his axe/helmets.

If it is indeed AD's work, I will contact an administrator there.

greetings to all member of TWC i am a member of the italian mod bellum crucis i'm not a skilled skinner like AD but that unit is only my work, the axes looks like the one used in BC becouse the image are the result of google image search of the word "mamluk axe" and i found them on this site http://mbx.streetofeyes.com/index.ph...6;sa=showPosts
the models use less poligon than the one of BC and i didn't do a part of the axe (the rear) that is present in the axe of BC.

Seemed obvious, there can't be a thousand references for those weapons. (especaily wih those osprey-frenzies around here! )

Yeah, I wouldn't raise a big fuss about the weapons honestly since those are publically available images that were made into flat blades textures using alpha-channels.

Sorry about that renjard. We've just seen cases of it's use here, so it's made for perhaps an extreme amount of vigilance.

In hindsight, given the mod you've been working on has been producing stellar stuff (And if memory serves, I think you guys along with BC and Deus Lo Volt had material stolen by a mini mod on TWC) it was really unlikely that anything would have been taken. I hope we or I did not show any disrespect by our behavior.

Well wishes to you and your fellow modders.
