i get no message when it happen but in the hardware manager i get the info that the mouse has reported a error and have been deactivated with the code 43.

a driver reinstall did not help and like i wrote above, it only happen while i play ss.

This belongs here rather than in the SS section.

There are no files that SS install that affect the mouse, are you sure it is only SS? Have you tried other mod?

Then the obvious question is did you have this mouse problem before you installed Stainless Steel.

If the answer is yes and the mouse worked then it is a Stainless Steel problem.

If the answer is no then it is an install problem. Uninstall and reinstall the game.

If the answer is I don't know because I installed Stainless Steel before I tried it you're helping nobody. Uninstall and reinstall the game. It's the only way you or anybody else will know for sure.

Mouse dying is not a new problem, it isn't directly game related either. It's a PC issue.
Google the description of your issue and find a fix.

You have a Dell system or custom built?

Are you using windows default drivers or did you install Logitech Setpoint software?

the problem changed, seems like its not a medieval 2 problem.

i happend while i played a other game.

i have a modified dell 4550 pc (new ram, power, grafic) and using the setpoint drivers.

This is the problem. Install again the drivers.
