I bought Rome: Total war a couple of weeks ago. When I tried the prologue the map moves really slowly. When I push the curser to the end of the screen the game takes around 10 seconds then moves. I tried all three campaigns with the same result. But when I try a custom battle with 20 units in each army and huge setting, with highest detail setting on it doesn't lag or anything. I tried everything with the lowest settings, but still no luck. I tried the disk on my crappy laptop which lags on lowest setting but it works. I'm lost at what to do?
To sum up;
The campaign map moves at an unplayable speed.
My computer is significantly above the recommended stats.
I can prove it by playing massive battles on high levels of graphics without lag.
The disk is fine as it works on my rubbish laptop.
I have bought a new disk and it still doesn't work.
I have installed, reinstalled, complete manual reinstalled around 50 times but nothing works.
I have asked the Heaven forums and only Subrosa was useful telling me to do a complete manual reinstall, which didn't work.
Can anyone save me?
