wait...i have xgm and invasio barborum on my comp is that the problem

i just uninstalled all the mods on my computer and its still screwing up

every time i finish downloading it it says this program may not have installed correctly and then it gives me to options, one to re install with certain settings and that never works, or two to completeley uninstall it.

i also have vista

well im not sure how does it run under Vista, but you should try to :

CLEAN FRESH INSTALL of RTW, version 1.5. no mods previously installed. Then install the SPQR right onto it and play! If not working, you might need to download the file from some alternative location, cause it might be corrupted. Check the file size, and compare it with the size that it should be

aaawwchhh.... vista is a killer for rtw
no seriusly, you can play it, though you'll ghave more chance for trouble

to play different mods, just copy your rtw folder, so you have different versions of the game

Or maybe, what happens to me sometimes, when Im downloading smth, it suddenly stops unfinished, while later I download it whole from same source...weird (guess its the windows! )

I think not. If it would be FW, download would not even start, nor would the pages most likely load due to bad settings. Of course, sometimes firewall tends to malfunction, but that at least for me happens only when the connection is temporarily down and firewall just cannot cope with that.
My tip on this is more related to the ping issues (wireless eh), or host sites, where a single ping command that goes unresponded might simply crash the download.
