    Default question about ancillaries

Greetings TWC forumers. I just started playing BC and registered here two weeks ago or so. The experience has been great so far, I'm using the Imamate of Oman and am currently beating the Abbasids into submission on H/VH. I've got to say this is the HARDEST Total War I've played so far, what with the Khwarezm Shah and Ghorids declaring war on me at the same time. Glad the Seljuks offered a ceasefire though.

It's been a great mod so far, I love the attention to detail you guys put sometimes (me being a Muslim myself). There's still a significant amount of missing text and bad English, and I'll be glad to do something for the team to help. Unfortunately, that's probably about all I can do, though. My historical knowledge of the Middle East and South Asia is somewhat limited.

Anyway, my main topic is about ancillaries. I'm curious, how do you assign them to your generals? Like the Sultan of Baghdad, Master of Mecca and whatnot. I've seen AI generals with such titles but I never had any idea how to give them to my own generals.

I hope you guys can help me out. I've been searching for the solution but I couldn't find it anywhere on the forum. No one's answering my question on the Questions and Suggestions thread either.

For the ancilaries that you mentioned, you just have to conquer that city and pt a general/fm inside. After a few turns, he'll get the ancillary such as Caliph of Baghdad or so. You can move such ancialries between your gens/fm by putting them in the same stack and just click and drag the ancillary. Note that you cannot transfer all of them. Just a few ones can be draged.Others are fixed to that character.
There is a person which made a website where all ancillyries are shown, with what stats and how to get them. Sorry but I forgot this name and the one of his website. Search for it in the forums you should be able to find them.
Happy to know the mod pleaes you

Greetings my friend, i hope you enjoy being a TW member.
Reap the promised end to the struggle. Reap every point on our linear path.
Reap the smiles in time we borrow, every harvest relies on the last.
Reap the promising song of the sparrow, that they learned from the birth of sea.
Silenced by the threnody of the crows. Reap the fallen fruit of the dogwood tree.
But I witnessed in all this silence one soul's definition of beauty. and a backlit smile so temporary.
A facade so rich with evil history. Cast in direct opposition set to overwhelm this moment to shine and sleep.
came out on top of what was borrowed, and found all that beauty to be still...

I have played with Oman quite a lot and I am very confident that Omani generals do not get any regional titles.

I see. So it is a faction-specific thing. Ahh well that's too bad...

Oman's early-game army is relatively underpowered compared to most others, but I just love their Arabian Horsemen! Won me many a heroic victory. Starting position is (eventually) good for trade too.

Is there a list of titles available for each faction?
