Medieval 2 total war demo issue

I installed mtw II gold demo and started play it, when i opened the tutorial, the battle screen paused then i pressed p again to unpause it but in few seconds it paused again. So basically i cannot run the battle because it pause every few seconds after i unpause. Also i see console menu before pausing again. This happens to all the battle on this demo.

I have respectable system which can run lotro in high graphics, i am also scared because i have already purchased this game online.

have you tried re-downloading it? It might be a dodgy download. Make sure you delete everything (including registry files) before trying again.

dont be scared, M2TW is a pretty stable game.
