    Default Empio Historical Armies Gallery

Ladies and Gentlemen, I started this thread to show my works on historical armies (from ancient to late medieval).

At the moment I'm a member of Viking Total War mod but, sometimes, I like to do some stuff on other historical periods due to my great interest for the military history: this thread will be a sort of album or collection in which I'd like to count on your opinion.

The skins and models of my unit are totally redone, trying to achieve the best historical realism (take an eye on my gallery in VTW thread).

Usually I follow my historical and artistic interest producing the armies, but I can accept your request or necessity if possible.

    Enjoy!

The first army of the gallery will be the army of Alexander the Great:

    classic but really fashionable.

Your work is very good, of a very high quality level. I am very happy to see someone of your talent working on units for RTW.

Will you release unit packs once you finish each army? That would be fantastic.

On a personal note, any army from the late roman period would be welcome. Sassanids, Goths, Franks etc. Even late Romans themselves, as I believe that while the ones available are reasonable, your talent could bring them to a higher level.

Personally I think that Razor has made some good late roman units so when it comes to the late antiquity I`d be much more interested in germanic, sassanid and especially hunnic units. I`ve tried upgrading the vanilla BI with better looking units some time ago and I was unpleasantly surprised of how limited the options are when it comes to anything besides the romans.

I agree, Razor did make some very good late roman units, but there is some much more to be done there... However, most definitely would start with Sassanids and Germanic units!

@empio - Sugestion for you: When you want to make render check these in 3ds max material editor:

    Mono Channel Output

    - Alpha ........ and

    Alpha Source

    - Image Alpha

Without this you will have that black border on the cheek protect. elem.!
