Re: HELP
Fromwhat I just read, Smartclose could very well be the problem. Disable it, uninstall the game, reinstall the game, then try installing yoyr mod. If the mod installs, you know Smartclose is the problem.

Re: HELP
Thanks I will try that. ok I tried that it did not work. I uninstalled Smartclose then the game then reinstalled the game but I still get the same thing it always says
(actual) installer md5: []
(actual) RomeTW.exe md5: [632f884ca993a430038a03d76bfa2f50]
(correct) RomeTW.exe md5: [DE01375B675CBD95B7EFCB745E72EAD6]
(correct) RomeTW.exe md5: [889E7D1CC92C34B6EB8252A7658464BA]
Note: If the actual and correct values for md5 do not match,
you might have the wrong version of RTW installed. This mod will
only work with RTW 1.5 or RTW:BI 1.6
This is what I get when I try to install RTR PE mod switch

Re: HELP
Those are all registry entries. Uninstall the game starting with BI. clean the registry of anything RTW including any mods you might have even partially installed. Reinstall the RTW to 1.2. Install BI. Now install BI patch. See if you start a campaign. If so, you know it's not you. Install the mod. Any error messages refer to the appropiate mod forum because it is no longer a technical issue.

Re: HELP
If this is true, then it is a mod problem. Please contact RTR about this problem with their installer. They may ont be aware of it.

Re: HELP
With the game there should be two shortcuts. One will be using R:TW and will run RomeTW.exe and the other will be using R:TW BI and will run RomeTW-BI.exe.
If you launch a game with R:TW the version number on the top right hand side of the options menu should be 1.5 if you've got it patched OK.
If you launch a game with R:TW BI the version number on the top right hand side of the options menu should be 1.6 if you've got it patched OK.

Re: HELP
Two onther things I know to foul it up, using a crack or using emulation software. Otherwise it's bad install. Vista or XP?

Re: HELP
Okay, we're going in circles. Then uninstall Smartclose, uninstall Gold, delete the RTW folder, clean your registry to get rid of Gold and Smartclose entries and a host of other problems. Now reinstall Gold and tell me the version number. This is the only way to solve this problem.

Re: HELP
Are you trying to load all these on the same RTW copy? Could be your biggest problem. My way after I get the game patched with the last patch and make a copy of the whole RTW folder for each mod and keep one RTW folder as vanilla just in case something goes wrong. I don't trust mod switches.
RTR PE mod switch should be reported to their forum. SPQR working proves the game works. Same with Rise of Persia. SPQR working also proves Smartclose was also causing problems.
